Objectives
The objectives of the EQAS FOOD CERTIFICATE FOR SHORT COURSES are
• To enhance quality and transparency of education and training in food science and technology
• To facilitate mutual transnational recognition of qualifications
• To facilitate the career progressions
The EQAS Food Certificate is awarded to short courses that comply with the document
• EUROPEAN QUALITY ASSURANCE FOR SHORT COURSES IN FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY: Procedures and Criteria.
Procedure
The assessment of the quality of food science and technology related courses is done by minimum one expert based on the trainer competences and on the coherence between objectives, syllabus, teaching methods and assessment according to the European guidelines (European Standards and Guidelines of ENQA).
