The EQAS Accreditation Commission (European Quality Assurance Scheme) has a crucial role in the procedure of awarding the EQAS-Food Label. It consists of ten members of whom seven are academics (covering the different disciplines of Food Science and Technology), two representatives from industry and one student.

Role
The Accreditation Commission reviews requests of HEI for accreditation of degree programmes and decides on the composition of the audit teams. It takes the final decision about the award of the EQAS-Food Label. The Accreditation Commission meets three times a year.
